Kevin, that is quite a difference. I hope this stuff does as good on the Blue and Red caps. I am not as concerned about the clear caps. Because I change them to airtight caps. However, I leave the strikes in the colored caps. At least for now, hopefully someday we collectors can order airtight replacement air tight caps.

One concern that I have is there any possible long term effects of any kind? On the cases or the silver strikes inside?

Reason I am concerned, is what I had happen to me using Rain-X on my windshield. The advertisement said it will not hurt windshield or chrome on car. And it did what was advertised. I thought it was a wonderful product---UNTIL---. I started having problems with keeping good working/wiping windshield wipers on the car. Seems the Rain-X, after a period of time messes up the windshield wiper blades, and they would not wipe water off windshield anymore. It would get blurrey and foggy to see to drive in the rain. Some wiper blades lasted a little longer the others. But, they all had to be replaced long before it should have been normally needed. I called manufactuer, susposely told me how to get it off, did not work. Finally had to just change the windshield. Only got lip service from the manufacturer of Rain-X.

Have you had or heard of any problems with plastic or metal short or long term?
