"Not so fast! Any rim that is marked with .999 fine silver is silver. That is why the mark it there. Please check with the government regulations for verification. And you probably might not know that some of the rims are copper and not brass. Depending who the mint was. If you would like to sell me any of the rimmed .999 rounds for .6 ounce spot price, please let me know. Not trying to be smart but I have done more research on this issue than it was worth my time. If you want to test it simply take an odd token you may have or one of you many duplicates and scratch the rim on the outside with the .999 on the rim. You will see it comes off silver. The rounds with the .999 in the center of the coin are only part silver. Not all of them are .6 ounces. Some are a bit more, some are bit less. Depends again on the manufacturer.
