I was transfering strikes into airtight capsules the other day and I always examine the coin closely when doing this. I came across a California Commemorative Zodiac Series Year of the Snake Strike that the die is rotated about 45 degrees.. (180 degrees being completely upside down) At first I just figured the mints that make the strikes don't have the quality control standards like the US mint might have, but then I checked every strike I own and didn't find a one that was noticably rotated. Just wondering if anyone else has come across other rotated die strikes other than the "rare" documented variations such as the riviera, westward ho etc.
