"Yes, if the Silver Strikers Club is giving something away to members as a benefit to belonging to the club, I agree, they should be restricted to members only. But if a business organization (like IGT or Palms Casino) is giving something away and there is plenty to go around, I don't think that it should be restricted to silver strikers only." (stated by Archie) Archie, there is only a certain number of these Strikes minted by the Palms and IGT, the Palms mintage for last years give away was limited to 500! If this was open to the public for the give away, there are approx. 650 members of this club, but not all attend the convention then you should give them to all the members who attend or not. If you remember last year Dennis Berry could not attend the convention because of a cruise vacation that was set up by his family members. All Dennis asked was is it possible that some member to pick up the strikes that were going to be given away at the forum because he could not attend, and there was such ruckus on Strike Point about this and he was told no, you have to be present according to the clubs by laws!! So is this fair that a dedicated and paying member gets nothing, but you want to open this up to the public. Where is the logic behind your statement? Then if I want to attend and pay for my dinner at the CC>CC then as a comparison, I should be able to attend this dinner. Last year my wife and I tried to attend the CC>CC dinner and I was told it is only for paying members of the CC>CC Club!! If you want to attend then you have to join the CC>CC Club. Archie, you can't have it both ways, why is it okay for the CC>CC to restrict non-members but not the Silver Strikers Club. Doesn't the CC>CC want to promote their club and pick up new members? Every organization out in the real world has rules and restrictions to keep order and it should be no different with our club.
