The current bid of $4.06 + his $4.20 "shipping" is way less than the face value of the strike Skip ... so where is "his profit?"

Profits are determined by the bidders, not the sellers. I agree that $4.20 is not the most economical way to ship a single stirke ... but the final cost depends upon the highest bidder.
