It was the same for me, around $12 a coin though mine fell like clockwork in a perfect cycle. I asked a coin dealer today who says he sells them for $18 a piece (uncirculated). He says the casino buys them for the spot price of silver plus $1 (around $14). He says they technically are legal tender but nobody would use them with only it's dollar value. Nontheless, these are fun machines to play. Unfortunately the coins have no protection, so although the 2006's look brand new and probably uncirculated, they get a few scratches coming out of the hopper.
