Harrahs in Lake Charles,La will not be rebuilt

Hi all,
Harrahs went before the Louisiana Gaming Board today 4-17-06. And told them that they had decided NOT ro rebuild the 2 riverboat casino operations that they had in Lake Charles, La.

Harrahs will sell the 2 licenses that they have with these operations. Pinnacle Entertainment, Inc. the gaming board was told was the company wanting to buy the 2 licenses.

Pinnacle stated to the gaming board that they would use 1 of the 2 licenses. To double the size of their present L'Auberge Du Lac casino operation in Lake Charles,LA. The other license would be used to place a casino boat in the Baton Rouge, La area.

Of course, Harrahs and Pinnacle stated, all of this is pending approvel. By the Louisiana Gaming Commision. Also, a public referendum vote will have to be held. In both Lake Charles, La and in Baton Rouge, La. With both of the city voters voting in favor of the changes, as it pretains to their area.

Harrahs at present is in the process of demolishing the destroyed. Island barge set up that they had their restrants on. As well as the walk ways to board the 2 riverboats. This has to be done first to free 1 of the riverboats,(Pride of Lake Charles boat) that is trapped by the island. And is presently sitting partly on the beach. This riverboat was not damaged to bad.
