Its now safe to say there is between .55 to .60 of an ounce of silver containing at least .9875 to .999 pure silver.
Who has the money to assay the results from the casinos? Not me and especially for its token appreciation its certainly not worth the effort to dig deeper. I wonder what mint strikes the coins for all of the Nevada silver strike coins.
The mint has to adhere to .999 pure silver content rules or else they would be charged under the Nevada State Act. It would be a criminal offence in my humble opinion if they misadvertised pure silver at .999 and missed the mark on the purity. Does it matter?
I dont think so my fellow collectors. We love the designs anyway and the fun for collecting them inspires me to collect more. Maybe they should strike them in 1 troy ounces and make 20 dollar doniminations without the brass. Its about silver strikes that makes them appealing to collect. Maybe its the lustre of silver and the everlasting design that has me addicted.
God bless everyone
