I know I'm the new guy here and am probably going to get slammed for this, but you all need to take a few steps back off this guy. It maybe not worth that amount to all of you, but it might take that price for him to part with it. We all possess something in our collection that we think is more valuable than an actual price someone will pay you for it. That Ceasers $200 strike that was sold a few weeks ago for $10K. By a few peoples own admission, you cant account the actual number that are out there, you questioned how he came to possess it and by what means and it still sold. Why? Because that's what the market allowed. The same reason why certain Paris and Luxor strikes fetch a higher price than others. Personally, with $10K, I could triple my collection and would never pay that much for a single strike, no matter how rare it is, but obviously not everybody shares my opinion. Say in 20 years the price of silver does hit $500 an ounce, our collections will no longer increase and any strike that was taken home for a souvenir will be melted down faster that a candle in Dracula's castle. Some people stated they tried to contact the seller to offer some advice on the strike and received a harsh response. I was a recipient of one of those same responses. But after I took a few minutes to return his email and explain my comments, rather than paint him as a kook, he is a real, knowledge chip and strike collector. He even named a few of you BY NAME to the point that he has traded and got to know very well in the past. Over the past few days, I have had very cordial emails back and forth with him.

Look, I can take a joke like anybody. I don't begrudge any of you for making a joke. But to carry it on this long is a little ridicules having no idea who your talking about. I meet a lot of you at the tournament and I never you guys would drag this out so long. Now feel free and crush me as much as you want. These are only my opinions. I am a member of both clubs and am proud of it. But if anyone out there feels that I'm way out of line and calling into question something that is none of my business, email me your address and I'll send you both my membership card.
