I mentioned in one of my long-winded, rambling posts that I had an extra 2004 Tournament strike for trade and wasn't clear on what I was looking for. For all those that inquired, here it is:
The only thing I have in my collection are strikes, $10's and $200's from Las Vegas, and that all I'm limiting myself to(except for one Reno $200 that I traded for a Palms while sitting at the machine during the tournament, and if you read this, let me know who you are because I forgot your name). I know from watching eBay and other sites that the Bellagio Chinese New Year, the Balloon and Eifel Tower from Paris, most of the red caps and a few others always fetch a premium price and would be great to have. But with my limited collection, I'm more into accumulating rather than filling gaps with rarities that I was not able to pull out of the machine. I'm more along the lines of looking for complete, common issue sets or bigger coins. Something like the Winter Sports set the Vegas Club put out a few years ago or even a $200 strike someone might have sitting around. I almost feel foolish asking for something like those because everybody will think I have a screw loose just for asking, but I'm sure someone out there has an extra set or $200 that wasn't able to make it to the tournament that might need what I have. I was lucky enough to have my name drawn to purchase a second tournament strike, so I have an extra (#164), and I would rather trade it to a member or someone that contributes to the message board than sell it to someone for any cash I could get (I think the last one I saw on eBay went for around $150). I realize that its the hard work and dedication of all that came before me that makes it possible for me to collect today, so I'd rather see it find its way into one of your hands than someone else's. You can email me directly, I am open to negotiations, or just post your comments here about how crazy I am for asking for such a high trade price.
