I donot know how many(except what I heard)the South Coast and Palms had minted. I know the LVC mint #. I had heard of the mint number of 100. And I asked if anymore then this was going to be minted, and I was told no.
The Palms & South coast decided to mint 200 for what ever reason--I know not-- but, I donot think they was forced to mint this many. I still have not heard, that there is a required number to be minted. Except for Norm's post that a waver has to be asked for for less than 500 to be minted.
Maybe someone in the club can better clear this up. ABOUT A REQUIRED NUMBER HAS TO BE MINTED.
As for the Aladdin, all I know is what I read and hear about it. And the Aladdin's past history has been marked with many problems, just like the present Aladdin --- soon to be Planet Hollywood.
I am one who is not especially fond of the newest designs and the way they are made. Even though I have them in my collection. I prefer the old stamped design.
I think that the casino's have seen. That the new design didnot "fly out the window" fast so to speak. Like the older designs usually did. Example: it was just posted, that the Plaza just now gave out their last one. So they will be uneasy about getting to many, at first and keep the mint number down.
