Hey, it's Corporate America and we all know all they really care about is pleasing the stockholders and that is thru the bottom line. Can't turn off the money machine because of a few bodies. I was in Boulder Station a couple of years ago when a cashier's stand was robbed one night. All of a sudden I heard lots of "pops" as the robber was chased thru the casino, then LOTS more shots. Everyone in the casino was asked on the loud speaker to hit the floor, shots were being fired, which most people did. I hid behind a support pillar and watched the 6 or 7 yellow shirted security men chase the robber through the main floor of the casino. It was surreal, all the dealers were on the floor as were the customers; I vividly remember watching one dedicated dealer reaching up to lock up his chips on the 21 table. When all the noise died down, I went to check out the scene and immediately saw an employee laying on his back with two obvious bullet holes in his chest, oozing bloody bubbles, about the time I got there a couple of medic types arrived and started to give him first aid. I then followed a very bloody trail out the back door, and there lay the robber surrounded by the yellow shirts....dead as a doornail; 5 feet from the door. Apparently the employee tried to stop the robbber which was the first series of shots as the robber shot him. When he opened fire the pursuing security blasted him. What REALLY shocked me was 5 minutes after ALL this the gamblers were back to the tables, machines, whatever acting as though nothing had happened. Totally blew me away and I had to get out of the place, was sick to my stomach. I guess they did shut the tables down long enough to let the robber shoot an employee and then to get blasted to bits, but not a second more. And I firmly believe there were gamblers in out of the way places that never really knew what was going on and never stopped gambling.....Only in Vegas!!
