As the Vice Pres of the Silver Striker Chapter, I will see this is an agenda item at the convention for us.
Current considerations:
1. The contest is suppervised by CC>CC, NOT the Chapter. Follow there rules and nominate accordingly. They do NOT proclude the 1 pounders put out by Sierra Sid's in 2001. (my opinion)
2. The Chapter will recommend some guidelines to CC>CC at the convention - come and be heard.
#. I have been waiting to be sure of one very important fact and that is "SILVER STRIKE" IS a registered trademark of Anchor Games (now IGT). This is what I believe the Silver Strike Chapter collects. ANY strike issued under this trademark is a Silver Strike. Remember, IGT makes there money from selling these strikes to the casino! If not purchased from IGT by the casino - NOT a "Silver Strike". If you collect Carson City dollars, one made in San Francisco doesn't fit in - does it?
The Sid's pounders are great and I sincerely hope someone does nominate them BUT I don't believe they are silver strikes - they are purchased direct from the mint (IGT is not involved)
