These coins are made out of silver and they are struck, so they are in fact Silver Strikes. Perhaps not winnable, but silver strikes are just what the name says. The discussion is whether we, as a club, recognize them as part of what we would catalog. That is strictly a personal choice. Remember, the casinos do not even recognize the name silver strikes. They have machines that dispense souvenir coins. So it is a matter of semantics, only. I have seen Sierra Sid's list of purchasers and their numbers and all are silver strike collectors, so you be the judge....Peter
