My understanding (and it is weak) is the gaming board got tired of all the complaining about how the chippers were getting screwed by short issues, who got what of the issue, or whether it was fair or not that they slammed down a hammer or rules of what could be placed on the chip and some say they set standards as to a minimum of an issue. I have never read or even seen what they decided but the rumors that the issues could not be just for collectors. It has something to do with how they are distributed also but seems to be open for interputation. So far I have never seen anything change as to silver strikes and I don't think it has do with us. The gaming board said chips are primary for gaming purposes and not collecting and our silver strikes are "souvenirs" and not primarly for gaming. Yes they are a "redemable gaming token" but not used for gaming on the tables.
