I guess we're lucky this time because everyone is right no matter how you want to say it.
Depends on where you want to put the words.

I don't think anyone can disagree that the SILVER STRIKER'S FIRST tournament was in 2001? And we should all be able to agree that the 2ND ANNUAL Tournament was cancelled at the last hour. So in order to call something a 2ND Annual Tournament, even though it was cancelled, there had to have been a FIRST ANNUAL tournament.
Then, of course, in January 2004 we had the LAS VEGAS CLUB'S FIRST ANNUAL Tournament. But it was the SILVER STRIKERS 2nd ANNUAL tournament. All very true statements.
There doesn't have to be a Tournament every year....you can skip one every so often. You just have to have only ONE tournament per year. TWO would be Bi-annual.

But I really wasn't trying to make issue of the word ANNUAL. What's really bothered me these last few years, is any casino calling it THEIR 1st or 2nd or 3rd Tournaments even though it would be a true statement. I want the tournament to be OUR tournament.
I'm hoping our new CLUB OFFICERS will take steps to get the tournament held in other casinos downtown and the commemorative strike to just say "SILVER STRIKERS 2nd, 3rd, 4th ANNUAL or NOT ANNUAL tournament" with just the date or year added. You can't be changing casinos every year and keep calling it THEIR 1st Annual Tournament, can you?
I guess we know there ARE other casinos that would like to hold the event and we should give them the opportunity.

Nothing to argue about here...but it would be nice to have some trading of ideas for the good of the club.
