Skip, as you know my wife and I visit Las Vegas 4 to 5 times a year on our vacations which total out to approximately 6 to 7 weeks a year. We have really cut back on spending a lot of time downtown due to the crime! When you talk to the local police dept. that is on patrol on Freemont Street and they tell you not to go off Freemont Street onto any of the secondary streets or alleys during the day but definately not after dark, that will put a scare in anyone. We have friends and family that live in the Las Vegas area and they tell us the same thing, the crime rate downtown is going to be the ruination of it. So when we do go downtown, it is only during the daytime hours, we go to the casino's and play for the strikes that we need and then go back to TI's where we always stay!! Maybe the politicians there have to wake up and realize that they do have a problem, then they can figure out how to fix it!
