Last monday(Jan 2, 2006) I called the Rodger Williams Mint. To try to hopefully get some help and answers to these 4 things, listed below. I was asked to send a detailed e-mail of what I would like to know. And the problems that need to be addressed. That was done monday evening.
#1- Possibablly selling replacement $200 blue cases and/or the inside blue inserts.
#2- Informing them and seeing if. They could do something about the tightness. Of the hole in the inside blue insert. causing the broken condition of the inserts.
#3- The blue cases rust, could a non-toxic coating be applyed to stop this rusting. And to use a coating that would not be harmful to silverstrikes, at anytime.
#4- I acknowledged, that this might not be a RWM problem. But, a problem of the supplyer of the Blue cases and inside inserts. But, that I hoped that RWM could somehow help, in the above items. I asked RWM for the supplyers name, telephone #, and/or e-mail address. And for a contact person to talk/e-mail to.
I had got no e-mailing answer, as of noon today(Jan 5). So I called the mint contact person again. She said she had e-mailed their supplyer, with my inquiry to them. Here is a brief answer to each item.
#1- This is up to the supplyer. At present the supplyer says. They will not sell the blue cases or inside inserts, to the any outside sources. However, the supplyer HAS CONSIDERED selling extra cases & inserts to casino's.
#2- She said that the supplyer stated. That they had gotten several $200 silverstrikes. And tried them in several inside $200 inserts. And that they HAD NO PROBLEM. In inserting and REMOVING the $200 silverstrikes.
#3- As far as rust proofing the $200 blue cases. The supplyer said that would cost to much to do. and the supplyer said that they will not do it.
#4- RWM mint or her was not at liberty to give out the supplyer information. That I had asked for about the supplyer. I cannot understand why the BIG secret here.
Now you all know how Roger Williams Mint. Stands on the 4 above mentioned things. It was pretty much put all on the supplyer WHO EVER THAT IS?????
