I have always sent any strikes that I have sold with insurance.Using $50.00 as the basic value reguardless what the strike sold for $10.00 or $35.00.Signiture conformation or delivery conformation will NOT get you a refund fron the USPS if it doesn't arrive.Insurance will. Most Post Offices now will process a claim of $50.00 or less at the local mailing office.(They are supposed to).Agreed that there are many unhappy postal persons who don't want to help on a trivial claim but a email from the buyer stating that the strike was lost with the seller having his/her ebay selling invoice at the time of filing a claim showing the purchase price has been all I need when I have had to file a claim for lost strikes. The seller will recover the selling price;not the $50.00 though.Numbered insured claims is a different story and there is a lot of BS involved.Just thought I would put my 2 cents worth in before the postage goes up next week.
