I just wanted talk about the playing of Osheas Casino silver strike machines during the convention. From what I heard, there were more than a couple of people monopolizing the machines. One casino employee mentioned a guy didn't budge until after winning six complete racks!

I thought I might have it easier by going to Osheas at 4:30AM on Friday morning, but I still had to wait since collectors were on the machines. I got to play at around 5:00AM and shortly after that a couple more collectors arrived. I made the offer that we each play $20 and then trade off the machine. I felt this was fair and gave everyone a chance at the harder to get strikes like the CCGTCC logo and the donkey/elephant special chase strike.

No one hit the double-sided special strike while I was there (I left at 7:30AM), but the atmosphere was certainly more pleasant than the stories I'd heard about during peak hours.

I'd like to know if it is only one person paying friends to play the strike machines or if it is a trend that's on the rise between collector/dealers. I'd hate to see things get REALLY ugly out there.
