A tip for those players who go after "chase" strikes and might be selling extra common strikes back to the cage:
If someone stops and looks at the silver strike machine why not make them the offer of taking home a souvenir at face value? Don't wait for them to ask because many won't because it seems arrogant. The reasoning behind this is that you might just introduce a new person into the hobby. Not only do they get the opportunity to look at the silver strike more carefully, but the next casino they go to they might decide to give the machine a shot. Not to mention the fact that a friendly person, who sold the common strike at face value, leaves the new collector with a positive attitude toward the hobby and those involved in it.
Without the "chase" strikes it's unlikely that any of us would play the machines to the point where we cash in extras at the casino cage. Try to see ways you can help the hobby continue. Bringing in new collectors should be a high priority.
