Dennis pointed out to me that the silver center on the new Golden Eagle (Horton, KS) strikes are smaller than historical $10 strikes. The brass rim seems to bleed into the center insert so that the outer part of the center insert is brass. If silver is more expensive than brass, I suppose that's one way to deal with the increasing price of silver...another would be to just make the center insert thinner. I'm sure this is just noise level on IGT's financials though.
