Sarge, Sharon and I live in Laughlin 6 months in the Winter. We are leaving for Laughlin on Saturday and stay until May 15th. Lee and Laura are right. You can walk to the Casinos on the River Walk. It is a beautiful walk and the weather is usually very nice.
If you Play Video Poker the best machines are at River Palms, Golden Nugget and Riverside. If you play Texas Holdem best is Riverside and River Palms. Harrah's and Riverside have the best show's in town. Riverside also has a theatre with 6 screens showing all first run movies. If you do Bingo Riverside and River Palms are the best.
It is quite a hike uphill from the Riverside to Harrah's. Well over a mile. Most of the Casinos have River Views for eating. The food is cheap in most of the Casino's and be sure to use your club card as the Comps are great. The best Comps are at the Golden Nugget and Riverside. The best buffet is at the Edgewater. Harrah's, Flamingo and Riverside are the busiest on weekends. The Hotel rooms in Laughlin are reasonable depending on what day it is. You can get a nice room for 25.00 in most places and comped if you play a lot.
