I would hope we don't have a lot of people leaving the hobby because of the chase strikes. I think that the chase strikes could be put in another class and if you don't want to collect them fine. I personally have decided to forget the Plaza 2fer, and the O'Sheas Decision strikes because of the way they were handled. I don't think it is going to reflect on my collection for not having them. I am trying to get all the old common strikes (junk to some) and if I luck out and find one of the precious ones in a antique store,coin shop, or pawnshop I just grab it and grin. It happens and the thrill of the chase is better than trying to empty the hopper. Just my two cents.
