Back to the newsletter. Why bring up something that happened almost a year ago and why not solve the real problem? The real problem is not how we get the newsletter, mail or internet, but IF we get the newsletter. Our biggest concern here should be the continuance of the newsletter and my understanding is that there is currently no editor in charge. We were lucky to get, those that did, the last issue and the club is actively looking for an editor, so perhaps we ought to focus our energy on do we care enough about the newsletter to try to put a positive spin on the whole issue, not a bad pun, and try to encourage someone to take on this responsiblity.

Now some smart member is going to say, Peter, since you brought it up take the flame and run with it, but, I was editor of our newsletter for two years and I am still a contributor, having written this years "Tournament Diaries," and committed to next year's coverage of the January Tournament and an article for November per the request of Pam Martin.

So all of us who have posted on this thread might just want to think how we can assist Pam and John and the rest of the board. The next issue should be in November and rather than having an ongoing arguement about the US mail and the state of our computer expertise or equipment, it seems to me there is enough prolific commentary on this board to get a newsletter out every couple of months. Why not contact Pam Martin and offer your services. She would probably love to have more support on producing a great newsletter and a little less discussion about what happened a year ago.
