Re: storage

Sarge,
I use 41/2"X 61/2" coin specialty envelops. They are about $20.00 for 500. This gives me a writing surface to describe the strike or series that's inside. As well as any other information I think I need to know or remember. And they hold up fairly well. As I donot handle my strikes a lot. Once I put them in the individual casino envelope and for a certain series in that casino. This makes it easy to find a certain series, if need be. Without having to go through a lot of strikes. To find what I want. And they are easy to carry with me, if I have to. I use a paper clip or staple to hold the top closed.
I have 2 lockable filing cabinets. with an additional pipe that locks. In front of the draws. To keep the draws from being opened if the lock is somehow broken or picked. I have divided the insides of the drawers. To accept that size envelops. The draws are labled as to area where the strikes/casino's in.(example)Nevada--Las Vegas or Nevada-- Reno, Tahoe, etc or Non-Nevada, etc. The envelpes go behind a card with that casino name on it.
Another option that is better and stronger than cardboard. And might be better for you. Than the way I do it. Is using the plastic cases/ that fishing tackle is stored in. They are fairly cheap and stands up to a good amount of handling. And they usually have a snaping lid on it. I am not talking about the big fishing tackle boxes with a lot of shelves in it. But the clear or white ones that has dividers in them. They come in several sizes and thicknesses. The older size strikes fits in them great. But, bring a strike to check on fit, before you buy. As not all of these boxes are the same size inside. However, it could be hard to find one that fits the new and larger size strike.
Hope this might help you,
Dan
