Also there's another part in your favor. Ask the owner of the image. Most people will say OK.

Don't link to someone elses picture on their website.

The problem is when we see the same images of some high value strikes, up on eBay and the guy suddenly has a fine collection of expensive items up for sale. Run Like Heck! sad This is where stolen images start to make people nervous, because they know it's their strike offered for sale, and the person who sold it, knows it's their old image.

If you are doing lots of flat things, a scanner is cheap and you can't find thousands of uses. In fact if it's anything that fits on the bed of the scanner, you'll get a great image.

Cameras aren't as good for coins, strikes, or small things. But if you do allot of dolls and toys, for example, any old digital camera will do, if it has any focus at all.

Buy a better one and you'll have Macro and you can take it on vacation! vbg Digital prints are cheaper than taking photos, it's cheaper to get them printed at the store than to do it yourself at home, plus you can just erase the mistakes.
