"According to IGT's Compliance Officer, when Silver Strike tokens were offered in Atlantic City, they were dispensed from slot machines sold by Anchor Gaming. At the time, each slot machine dispensed a single denomination of Silver Strike tokens. Thereafter, Anchor was acquired by IGT, which redesigned the slot machines to offer more than one denomination of tokens. IGT did submit the redesigned machine for approval in New Jersey in 2004, but it was initially rejected by the Division of Gaming Enforcement because our regulations provide that only one denomination of prize token could be dispensed from a single hopper.
