Vegas may not be dead but it is looking for customers. I get about 15 pieces of mail every week from casinos. Currently I have offers of free rooms and comps from the Tropicana, Paris, IP, Sahara, California, Main Street Station, Bally's and the Stratosphere. I am not a big spender and the last time I stayed at the Paris the sign on the door said that the room could not be rented for more than $2,000 a night. It was a pretty nice room. The problem is, of course, what is free in Vegas costs too much....Peter
