Chuck Said:
Look at the top at the MGM, and if it's the smooth LION the tip of his mane will come to the left hand side of the last M on the bottom. If it's the rough lion it comes to the right side of the last M.
Norm posted a nice picture, which to me looks like the Frosted lion, and the mane is to the left of the M. Which on is in the picture that Norm posted?
And yes, the one in the auction the mane ends, to the right.
Is it more like the Frosted vs a Textured surface, and there is not really a "smooth" one?
Anyway, the other auction on eBay clearly shows the textured surface and the mane is to the right of the last M in MGM as Chuck has pointed out. Nice easy to see identification. Thanks!
Someone said the lower bidders don't have to worry. I disagree. If the high bidder cancels, the lower bidders will become the high bidder. You might want to cancel any bids, just in case the high one backs out.
You guys (and ladies) are all right. It looks like the textured one, that has been buffed into the smooth one, and all the points about the reserve and knowing what the auction says it does, point to someone who knows what they have, not some "found this at a rummage sale" innocent.
Just one of the reasons why I read this board. Great people with accurate information.
