Usually I go up to about half the amount,of $50 before insuring,Basically because I don't know the person on the other end. Silver Strikers are honest,& can I send without ins. Packaging is Important,as the Coin,or strike can come through the side if thrown. I use old Bubble Packs,cut around the object to double insulate,& tape the edges of the envelope. Years back,when I did not do this,a few arrived empty. That cured the problem.
