The error was discovered at convention time and was widely publicized at the trade session. Collectors immediately played the machine a lot and also traded at the cage when they could. Management got involved and pulled what error strikes they couls dind. A while later an error strike was submitted and received approval from GCB, albeit retroactively. No more of the now no longer error strikes were produced although they could be. I don't believe anyone knows when the first errors went in to play or how amny were made and distributed.
