Christine:
We got the same scam email, claiming a "TKO cancelled bid" on an eBay auction. After signing in and taking me to an auction I'd never even bid on, I realized that the email had fleetingly re-directed through an AOL address before going to the fake ebay sign-in page, but until getting to the fraudlent auction didn't think too much about that. Luckily, I realized within a couple of minutes what was probably going on and went in immediately to change passwords in both eBay and my linked PayPal accounts. So far, no signs they were successful in stealing my accounts or any information, but that's probably only because I realized the fraud so quickly and controlled the situtaion. Sorry to hear of your problems and hope things iron out for you. It's always been the truth that the few rotten apples spoil the bunch. But a great reminder for us all, as already pointed out, to never link through an email and always be on the alert for crooks and frauds.
