I don't see how the value could be affected unless you're using your bare hands and smudging everything while putting the strikes into the new airtights. I would imagine these strikes are like proof or unc coins. Fingerprints etc while do damage. I use gloves while making the transfer from old cases to airtights. They sure look a lot better in the collection. I replaced everything EXCEPT the original red and bue caps.
