I read in the quarterly cc>cc magazine that all the table spots was sold out. So he probally could not get a table spot at this time.
Also, it would be breaking the convention trading session rules. For your friend to attend a trading session. And try to sell his strikes there. The cc>cc magazine states clearly "NO selling" at trading sesions. I guess in the halls would be ok. But, donot know for sure.
Why not do as I did, for a collector friend of mine. Who was selling her collection. Post a notice on strikepoint of this. She go over 40 e-mail inquires. To her selling her strikes.
