Larry - First IGT doesn't tell the casino's what to do with their old strikes, second I don't see where this is going to devalue a collection but I do agree that it might lead to less play on the machines by collectors but then again it might not, somebody is going to have to play the machines so the collectors can get the new releases. At a couple of casinos that do this in the Reno area there weren't any strikes that had great value but it did allow some new people to get some of the old strikes that were out of play for sometime, this might have hurt the dealers but if they played for the old strikes they thought had good value they would have some old strikes to sell.
One last thing, where did you ever get the idea the Industry catered to us as a group ? They look at us as a cash cow and if we were to stop collecting the strike machines would be gone in a heart beat, in any casino the bottom line is p
