If you go to the Sliverton, you might try the strike machine. At the camping trailer park in the park store first. It's accross the street from the casino(very short walk or shuttle ride)It's the only machine there(at least when I was there in March) and it's a lot quiter there. I also did better there, at that time.
If on foot, you can catch a shuttle to there. At the Tropicana. A city bus goes there also. Take the 301 or 302 bus at Las Vegas Blvd. To the southern bus terminal. Then catch the 117 bus to the Silverton Casino. Reverse this route to get back to the strip.
A 24 hour bus pass is $5.00.
