Many of you probably know this already but Sharon and I did not. She had an extra Hawaii $10 Silver Strike from the Plaza in Las Vegas and since we were going to Vegas for a little fun we took along a few of her duplicates. We were surprised to find out that the Plaza will not take back $10 Silver Strikes for redemption. We went to 2 different tellers and they both gave us the same story. Since Barrick bought the Plaza they will not redeem the strikes. Barrick has purchased the Golden Nuggett here in Laughlin so I assume that will be the case also, although they have not had any silver strike machines here for awhile. We also had a couple of old Golden Nuggett from Vegas that we took back and they had no problem. The Hawaii strike we tried to return is in the machines at the Plaza. I don't know if the front is different because all we could see is the reverse of the strikes in the machines. All and all we had fun in Vegas.
