Re: What Really Makes A Market In Collectibles

Avram: I know lots of people who bowl several nights a week as a hobby ... or who purchase season tickets for professional sports games ... or own a boat. All these activites cost money ... and they all provide enjoyment (spelled FUN). After the bowling is over and the lights at the baseball stadium are darkened and the boat returns to port .... who wants their old bowling score sheets or ticket stubs or fuel bills and dockage receipts? Enjoy your hobby that you get so much enjoyment from and don't be too concerned about what it is costing... unless you can't afford it. If that is the case, then perhaps collecting silver strikes is not for the faint hearted. At least they can be cashed in at face value after one tires of the hobby. How much are those old score sheets and ticket stubs and paper receipts worth? grin It's all a matter of perspective.....
