I am for switching to air tights. I switch all mine (I keep for my collection)except for the special cases(blue, red, pink, etc).
They are smaller, easier to handle and store. They fit my storage cases. And are clear and better protected from tarnishment.
And this might sound silly. But the smaller cases are a little lighter. This can be helpful, especially if you have to haul a bunch of them. A long way, like I have to. Every bit helps.
