Christine,
The Silver Strikers Club Board of Directors did send a letter to IGT asking them to reconsider their decision to discontinue issuing $200 strikes.
That fact that the Club sent a letter in support of the 125 or so people who collect $200 strikes was covered at length in President Don Nesbitt's remarks on the front page of the November, 2004 Club Newsletter.
Will it have any impact? Who knows. Those who were at the January trading session during the slot tournament at the Vegas Club heard from Don that we received a reply from IGT. Their answer was that they would consider our input and let us know when a decision was made.
My view? Many of the casinos (IGT's direct customer) have already told IGT that they want the $200 strike program reinstated. That was several months ago. If IGT listens to anyone, it will be their direct customer.
