Skip - While tha shipping cost is high it is the going rate to ship via UPS, and a bidder will have to figure that into the bid, one other thing we all started with 0 feedback on Ebay and this doesn't make the seller a bad person, only time will tell but at least the seller listed it on Ebay, heck how would you have felt if they offered it for sale on the message board.
With the number of people who have checked the auction I bet there will be more than a few snipe bids at the end and I would guess the strike will be delivered.
