Actually I didn't bite on the shortage. I didn't believe that Farah Fawcett was moving to Milwaukee. I don't own a cabbage patch doll. Don't own a tickle me Elmo. No "rare" Beanies around here. I didn't buy all the batteries I could at Christmas time, because there was going to be a shortage. (heck there's a great market every year, "batteries not included".)

If I was saving Palms Christmas strikes, on the chance that there will be hundreds of them destroyed soon, I'd save all and any of them, not just Santa. Both for the reason you wrote and the reason Norm wrote.

I think you were both right.

All that's left now is the day when the strikes are pulled from the machines and re-cycled. That will close the deal.
