Forgive me, I am new and have only played on one strike machine. That was at the Palms. But I am somewhat hooked (this is an expensive hobby compared to the $1 and $5 chips I normally collect).
While looking around the internet, I have seen several $200 strikes. How are these strikes won? Do all Silver Strike machines award these "pounders"? Are the pounders normally the same theme as the $10 strikes in the same machine? For example if the strikes in the machine depict the Casino/Hotels restaurants, does the $200 token depict the signature restaurant or is it just a random token?
All I know so far about the pounders is that they are worth $200 and a casino employee has to award the token to you as it is too big to fit in the machine.
Also what is the difference between the "new" and old machines? Are there any websites out there that offer a lot of information about strikes?
Thanks for the help,
Tom Hanson
