Vegasplayer says "Tokeneer i didn't kill the market at all as i said MOST strikers are CHEAP if you follow them in letting prices DROP it is on you. when i was collecting i bid HIGH to keep up the market so what is the story on a set of 4 silver city last issues ? who killed the market i can't get 100.00 for a set due to CHEAP buyers."
Once again Vegasplayer admits his nefarious practices to "protect his interests" aka profit.
Bidding on an auction with the intent of anything but winning is shill bidding and illegal.
Here are a few other "tricks of the trade":
Helping out another seller but raising the prices of auctions to avoid a reserve.
Contacting sellers for direct purchases. This includes contacting the seller to end the auction before others have found it or even AFTER another has won with the offer of a higher price.
Purchasing lots from an ignorant seller at a price far below the norm then reselling with a starting price of current book value to assure a profit.
Sound familiar? Can you guess who?
