I came across someone who says he has a small hoard of the old and loooong gone $28.00 Silver Strikes from Colorado. Before I negotiate with this person for his strikes I wonder if there is any interest on this board for those strikes?
If any one is even REMOTELY interested in trading for or purchasing a $28.00 Colorado Strike please email me and let me know of your interest and what you have in mind for a trade. I'm really flexible!
There are many many strikes that I don't have especially in the $28s, the $40s and the $20 dollar strikes, which I imagine would be most appropriate as traders for this strike.
I simply want to get an idea of how much demand there is for this strike so I don't over purchase or trade in order to get way too many of these. And here again there may only be ten of these available but if only two of you want to do a trade what do I do with the other eight? No one will be committed to complete the trade, I just want an idea of your interest in either Colorado Strikes or $28 dollar strikes in general.
If any of you have questions, I will try to get back to you. Here is what I was told:
They are supposed to be very pretty - silver and heavy gold plate. These are $28.00 Silver Strikes from the Colorado generic machines from many, many years ago.
I assume they are from the days before some of the Casinos had their names on Silver Strikes because that is when the early strikes ($7s and $28s) were put out there here in Colorado. Later on the casinos began to add their names and that was with the later $7s & $10s. There were a bunch of Generic $10s put out later by casinos that didn't want to pay the fabrication costs to personalize their own strikes, these could have been done during that time as well. I could be wrong on this, if anyone KNOWS about these - speak up. I personally never even knew there was a generic $28.
My Best To You All,
Avram
