My question was why the collaboration with a none strike collector?
If he was collecting he would incounter the same condition of goods we all do. Then he would have a better understanding of condition as we have. We each have our own judge of toneing just as they come from the machine some bright some bright with finger prints that will discolor, and some will darken from age because of the brass being in moist conditions close to ocean's or snow, but all brass will change color sooner or later that is a given.
Then you have bright from cleaning which some do, and others don't. How would you know in his grading? I'd rather have some toneing than cleaned.
