I think you raise two very good points. That would argue that single limited issues from Las Vegas would have the highest value all, else being equal. Haven't checked yet to see if that's true.
The other thing I thought of is that perhaps more recent limited issues might be worth less than perhaps those in the early years of silver strikes, all else being equal. That's because with the club and the Internet now, news about new limited issue strikes spreads much faster, so collectors have a shot at getting a much higher percentage of the limited runs before the casual tourist players do. But I don't know if the existence of dealers in the old days would have equalized things a bit, because the dealers could have acquired those limited issues to make them available to collectors. For instance, did dealers quickly gather up the LV Circus Circus Reno Clown error or Flamingo Rockettes error?
I actually didn't do alot here...just input the data from Bill's book and let Excel create the graph. The ready availability of the data is what made this easy.
