I hope that the info I released was benificial, and the following are simply my impressions and opinions.

Strike machines are considered a novelty machine by casinos and are not heavily played (relative to the other games on the floor) Thus the high hold percentage. In addition, it is expensive for Anchor to absorb,all art and production costs (even though the final strike is VERY cheap to make)Also due to the rather poor design of the Strike hopper (and aging parts) requires a lot of employee and anchor repair effort just clearing jams. Bottom line is that I do not object to the hold % especially since it is in the same league as the giant size link progressive (megabucks type games.) Of course, I wear my big nose and glasses discuise when I play to avoid being recognized.....

A smart operator Helps to justify the machine's existance just knowing that the casino name will wind up all over the world when a tourist takes the strike home. Casinos that work at the designs (like the beautiful new Harvey's sets)should be rewarded!!

The main purpose of my posts was to correct the mis impressions that have developed through the years and set the record straight about how casinos in Nevada operate' and to let you know that they do not just "tighten at will!"

I used to get strikes for a much larger number of folks then i do now because of some of the moaning and groaning when the price had to go above $20 for new issues, simply because they cost me more to win!! I invited those who I no longer do this for, to purchase a plane ticket, spend their time, and get them for themselves...NO TAKERS!!

As with all commodities, Silver Strike prices should seek a level goverened by supply and demand.

The people in the business areconstantly amazed by people who think things are rigged!! I remember asking one lady who lost $1300 in a nickle machine (45 coins at a time!!) why she continued to play...she said: "This $%$#@ machine should have paid out the big one by now considering how much money I put in and I think it is fixed....I surrendered and comped her dinner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
