David - IGT did try to do something with the hopper jam problem but they couldn't seem to come up with anything that would fit the old type machine so they came up with the new design, no hopper no jams was their thinking but it seems they still have a few bugs to work out.
One good thing about the new machine is when you ask somebody working for the casino where the strike machine is they seem to know where it is since it says strike on it, in the past alot of people didn't know what a strike machine was because they called it a collector token machine.
I haven't been able to play many of the new ones yet but I do wish they would set the sound down to low.
